Chris Symonds' Bran Muffins

Chris Symonds’ Bran Muffins
Combine and let cool:
4 c All Bran
2 c Bran
2 c boiling h2o
Cream:
1 c shortening
2 c sugar
Add:
4 eggs
Cold bran mix
5 c flour
5 t baking soda
1 T salt
Alternate 1 qt buttermilk with flour.
Bake 400 for 15-20 min. Keeps 6-7 weeks in refrigerator. Fred loves these because they make him gassy!
